Photos of a nine-year-old child working as a street mascot to earn money have gone viral online, specifically on Instagram.
The boy is named Rehan who is a nine-year-old kid from Indonesia.
Based on an Instagram post, from Instagram user @rhmadii__, who talked with the kid, Rehan wears an array of mascot costumes every day of different well-renowned characters, including Upin and Ipin, Tom and Jerry, Dora the Explorer, Spongebob Squarepants, and a lot more.
The post says the kid is working as a mascot with an aim to earn money and help in providing the needs of his family.
Furthermore, the kid is usually getting up early in the morning and walking 10 kilometers every single day to Jalan Gatot Subroto where he is working as a street mascot to entertain people going to their workplaces or drivers who are stuck in the street.
His earned money is used to help his family in paying for school expenses and rental as well as in buying food for his family.
Viral photos show the kid resting on the roadside while he wears his mascot costume.

It is undeniable that the present world problem, the COVID-19 outbreak, has a massive result to various people in a multitude of countries across the globe. For almost a year now, quite a few companies have shut down. As a result, a lot of workers have been laid off due to the crisis.
This has resulted in a lot of people shifting their gears in a bid to look for different opportunities to earn money for their day-to-day needs. And yes, one of these people include the nine-year-old Rehan from Indonesia.
