While iDevices, such as iPhone and iPad, tout remarkable battery capacity, there are still several users across the globe who wish to know more about how to maximize the battery life and lifespan of their Apple gadgets.
Luckily enough, Apple has dedicated a webpage that provides a slew of tips to significantly boost the battery life and battery lifespan of iPhone, iPad and other devices. Here are some of the tricks:
Do Not Expose Your Gadget To High Temperatures
As much as possible, Apple says, you have to steer clear of exposing your iDevice to temperatures higher than 35 degrees Celcius. Additionally, do not charge and store your gadget at high temperatures as this will result in damaging the battery capacity.
While Charging, Remove Your Gadget's Style Case
According to Apple, users have to remove the device's case when charging as this will lead to producing excess heat. The moment you observe that the iDevice is already hot, it is critical to quickly remove the case. Again, this will have a significant impact on the battery capacity of the device.
Update To The Most Recent Software Version
It is prudent to update the software of your iDevice to the most recent version. Note that the latest version features energy-saving technologies so it is indeed a noteworthy idea to update it every now and then.
The process is a piece of cake. You have to go to your Settings, then pick the General Option. From there, check out Software Update.
Avoid Charging Your iDevice To A Laptop Or Desktop That Is Turned Off
Another trick is to veer away from charging your gadget via USB to a computer that is turned off as this will lead to battery draining. It is okay, however, to charge it to a computer that is in sleep or standby mode.
Enable The Low Power Mode
Activating the Low Power Mode is done by heading to the Settings and looking for Battery. As a result, the brightness of your iDevice is lessened, the system animations are reduced, and the performance is optimized.
Use Wi-Fi As Opposed To A Cellular Network
According to Apple, accessing data on your iDevice using a cellular network consumes more power compared to using Wi-Fi.
When Storing Your iDevice, Make Sure It Is Half-Charged
The reason is that, when the phone is stored while it is fully discharged, this could lead to a deep discharge state. The result, in the meantime, of the Apple device stored while it is fully charged is that it will have a shorter battery life down the road.
Disable Push Notifications
Another technique is to switch off the push notifications functionality. This is done by heading on over to the Settings then picking Notifications.
With the above-mentioned tricks, you could significantly enhance the battery life and battery lifespan of your Apple devices.
