This Balete Tree in Ilocos Norte Is Filled With Money And Believed To Make Wishes Granted

Yes, it does exist. Located at Ilocos Norte, Philippines, there is a Balete tree that can be found filled with coins and currencies.

Filipinos used to believe that Balete tree is the home of nerve-racking unusual creatures like ghosts, dwarfs and other non-Earth elementals which will totally give you the creeps until now – locals calls it a “wishing tree.” The bunch of money found in the branches of the tree came from the people who often went there and make a wish. They believed that the said tree brings good luck to all the people who voluntarily inserts money in the contents of the Balete tree.

This custom, according to a local citizen named Jolly Manzano who is an owner of the restaurant located just beside the said tree, first started when an Overseas Filipino Worker put his money in  the tree and made a wish.
From then on, many Filipinos imitate this practice and one of them is Domingo Enciso who said there would be nothing significant to lose if you try and make a wish.

What would you do if you happen to drop by this tree? Would you wish or would you be a realist enough to get a portion of the money as a head start for your wishes to come true?
