OFWs Encouraged To Enroll In E-TESDA's Free Online Training Courses

In order to help OFWs and their families in the Philippines get training and jobs, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) encourages them to sign up for its free online courses.

During his visit to officials and OFWs in Korea on August 28, Deputy Director General Aniceto Bertiz III said that the 150 TESDA Online Program (TOP) courses are meant to "retool, upskill, and reskill" OFWs so that they can become globally competitive and highly skilled, especially since the needs of different industries are always changing.

He went on to say that OFWs are some of the most important clients of TESDA because the agency wants to improve their skills and their lives in the long run. He also said that TESDA is with them on their way to reaching their goals in life.

How to Get Free Online Courses from e-TESDA

If you are an OFW or live in the Philippines and want to take advantage of this free offer from TESDA, you can access the TOP at https://e-tesda.gov.ph/. Also, you can download the TOP Mobile App to your smartphone, whether you use Android or iOS.

Some of the courses offered are caregiving, cooking, massage therapy, electrical installation and maintenance, computer system service, bread and pastry production, housekeeping, food and beverage services, food processing, fruit growing, aquaponic food production, refrigeration and air conditioning service, and many more.

Since these are online courses, all you have to do to get to the modules is use the Internet, even if you are at home.

What's even better is that when you're done with any of the online courses, you can get a Certificate of Completion. You can then choose to take a National Certification test to get your NC II, which is important when looking for a job.

So, what are you waiting for? Now is your chance to take advantage of any of these online courses while they are still available for free. You will definitely use the new skills you learn from any of the online courses offered by e-TESDA.
