Barangay Health Services NC II: TESDA Online Program Offers New Course For Free

Hey, folks! Here is good news: the TESDA Online Program, otherwise known as the e-TESDA, has just recently offered a new course through its online platform. The course is Barangay Health Services NC II.

There is no denying that in the time of the pandemic, health workers in the barangay have a huge role -- from promoting health and wellbeing in the community to preventing and control diseases, which include COVID-19.

Now, for those who wish to become one and provide health services in the community should take this free online course being offered at the platform.

Here is what we know so far.

Modules Under the Free Online Course

By taking this free course online from TESDA, here's what you need to learn:

• Introduction to Barangay Health Services
• Safekeeping of Equipment, Medical Supplies and Materials in Health Station
• Assisting Household to Identify Health Problems and Promote Health and Well-being
• Monitoring Health Status of Household Members Under Your Area of Service Coverage
• Sharing Knowledge and Skills Among Members to Provide Information, Education and Communication and Household Teaching in Disease Prevention and Control
• Maintaining Updated List/ Record of Health Activities

Under Human Health / Health Care Category

When you wish to enroll, the course is under the Human / Health Care Category. So from Home, you have to go to the Courses tab. From there, check out the Human Health / Health Care category. The course is right next to the Massage Therapy NC II which is likewise offered at no cost through the website.

Under Beta Testing

Note, however, that the course is still under Beta Testing "as part of... quality assurance measures," says e-TESDA on the website. As such, expect that no Certificates of Completion will be provided yet. But, it will sure be changed the once everything is all set.

HOW TO ENROLL

Now, for those who don't know yet how to enroll under the TESDA Online Program, head on over to e-tesda.gov.ph. It is as simple as creating an account, verifying it through your e-mail address, and voila, you are now good to go.
